An Exercise in Gratitude – Day 6

Day 6 was a pretty good day overall, but having some trouble getting in touch with what there was to be grateful for. I can simply say, “yeah, it was a good day and that’s what I’m grateful for.” Yet, that feels so generic; it’s inauthentic and therefore insincere. Gratitude is not generic, inauthentic or insincere. So what does it really mean to be grateful? How do I actually experience it?

Here’s what I am really grateful for on Day 6: the fact that although it was a really really hot day, my car still started after being parked for several hours under the heat of the sun. (The old gal is getting, well, old and is exhibiting some trouble that comes with age.) For Day 6, that’s it, that’s all.
