An Exercise in Gratitude – Day 10

September 28th, 2011

On Sunday I had the pleasure of attending a christening for my honey’s God son. At the ceremony, there were 9 babies that got dunked, and let me just say, that it was quite entertaining! And such a joy. Honey kept saying how long the whole thing took, but I kept saying, that yes, although it was long, it was also very peaceful, tranquil, and delightful. He then agreed. I was grateful to be able to witness all these children and their families be in divine union to celebrate the beginning of their relationship with God.

An Exercise in Gratitude – Day 9

September 28th, 2011

On Day 9 I had a much needed meditation session. I’m grateful that I gifted myself this time despite having a list of things to do. Of course, it made all the difference in my day. It made me wonder how I thought I could afford to fall out of my regular meditation practice. The truth is, it makes a noticeable difference, and it’s positive. I need to remember that a series of tasks is not necessarily more important than taking time to be still and just breathe.

An Exercise in Gratitude – Day 8

September 24th, 2011

Here it is: On Day 8 I was grateful that no one was around to come to me with questions or comments so that I could work solidly through with hardly any interruptions and therefore get my work done sooner than usual and just in time for the delivery of our new couches!

Sometimes very simple things evoke deep appreciation. I wonder what I’ll be in gratitude for on Day 9. I better tune in to find out. :-)
